How much does FreedHome cost for the landlord?

You publish, chat with candidates and request their reliability check: all for free.

To set visits and choose the tenant you activate the listing: €49, one-time payment per home, VAT included.

You pay it once and it's valid forever on that home, for later rentals too. No subscription, no commitment, no commission.

When do I pay the €49?

When you set the first visit or choose the tenant. It's a one-time payment per home, with no subscription.

Chat and tenant checks are always free. If you prefer, you can activate earlier.

You don't need a card to publish.

What's included in the service?

Premium listing on 30+ portals, enquiries from verified tenants, contract and digital signature.

Then registration with the Agenzia delle Entrate, digital check-in report and automatic rent collection.

If you want, add Risk Protection for €29 a month. It's optional.

Do I have to pay a commission when I find the tenant?

No. You pay €49, just once per home, and that's it.

No subscription, no percentage of the rent, no agency commission.

Can I choose the tenant myself?

Yes. We verify and organise the enquiries, but you always choose who to go ahead with.

When do I see the tenant's contact details?

No numbers scattered around: you and the tenant write to each other in the FreedHome chat. That keeps you both safe from spam and scams.

Phone and email are never exchanged, not even after the visit. The visit is booked from the platform.

Attachments, such as photos and documents, are sent after the choice. When you both decide to go ahead, you both see full name and address.

What is Risk Protection: arrears and legal?

It's an optional premium service for €29 a month.

If the tenant doesn't pay, Rent protection steps in. Our legal team handles unexpected events and disputes, eviction included. Subject to requirements, limits and conditions.

You activate it when you choose a tenant with a certified enquiry, and it starts with the lease. Limits and conditions are in the Terms of service.

Do I have to ask for a security deposit?

No, you choose when you publish. You have two options.

  • Traditional security deposit: you tell us the amount, usually 2 or 3 months' rent. We show it in the listing and the tenant pays it to you at signing.
  • Zero Deposit: the tenant moves in without paying a deposit and pays €24.99 a month. You pay nothing.

With Zero Deposit you're protected: damage to the property found at check-out is covered by us, up to €3,000. And your listing gets the Zero Deposit badge: it stands out and gets more enquiries.

Available with tenants who have a certified enquiry. Subject to requirements, limits and conditions.

Not sure? For many tenants, finding 2 or 3 months of deposit upfront is the real obstacle to renting.

Are my data and the tenant's safe?

Yes. Data is protected and processed in line with the GDPR.

You don't see the tenant's documents and they don't see yours: you both only see the outcome of the check.
